Khartiia, a National Guard of Ukraine brigade that, over three years, has grown from a volunteer formation into one of the core units of the 2nd National Guard corps.
Khartiia was among the first to reach Ukraine’s eastern borders during the liberation of the Kharkiv region, the only volunteer unit to take part in the defense of Bakhmut, and has successfully fought in Donetsk oblast, in the Kupiansk–Lyman sector, and in the Serebrianka forest.
Last year, it halted a new enemy offensive in the Kharkiv region and has since been steadily pushing the occupiers back to the border, liberating over 200 hectares in 2025.
